My Incredible Journey Through North-East India

A h eartiest of greetings to my dear readers.  Recently during my summer holidays, I visited Meghalaya and Assam the astounding states of India with my parents. It was a marvellous trip where I was accompanied by my childhood friend and his family. We travelled through the busy roads of Shillong and Guwahati, and the scrubby lanes of Kaziranga. There were so many places to explore that it was rare if we were seen in our hotel rooms before dinner. We first ventured through the land of Guwahati in Assam where we went on a cruise to have a view of the mighty river of Brahmaputra. After a long day in Guwahati, we set off for Kaziranga early the next morning. There were rows and rows of the tea plantation. The air smelled refreshing and even tasty! Kaziranga had rainy weather when we finally arrived and unfortunately for us, we had a jeep safari planned immediately after. The New Year

                                           New Year As the clock strikes midnight The year changes to twenty-three, We look back at all the moments Of the year that just passed, you see. A new year brings so much joy And we have so much fun. Nothing can destroy The happiness we share with everyone. A new year, a fresh start A chance to leave the past behind. To set new goals on our chart A path that is kind. So here’s to the new year That we've waited for with delight I would also like to make it clear To bid a nice goodbye to the '22 night.

The Mysterious Cave

THE MYSTERIOUS CAVE In the city of New York, it was a cold and breezy day. The three friends Skye, Piper and Jade were walking back from school. They had very different personalities. Skye was a person who always got into trouble but completed his work on time nonetheless. Piper was an extrovert; she loved talking to others and making new friends. Jade was a girl who was always online; she loved dressing up in bright and vibrant clothes. All three of them were facing some or the other problems. Some way or another they got into trouble.   One day, the three of them went to the forest for a normal walk. What was supposed to be a peaceful walk turned into a disaster. Soon they reached a waterfall; even though it seemed like a normal waterfall, it was not. They had heard that whoever went inside the cave near the waterfall never came out but still they entered and what they saw was incredible. There was a hotel inside it with a DJ and an arcade; the best thing was all of it was free. ...

The Beautiful Woods - Narrative Poetry

 My first try at writing a narrative poetry The Beautiful Woods We were playing hide and seek, My friends and I; I took a little peek And saw a butterfly. It flitted here and there, Chasing it went we, Entering the woods without a care We ran in merry glee. Soon we came upon some monkeys Chattering and swinging. We collected berries in our hankies And relished them that evening. It was such a bliss Looking at the trees we stood We made a solemn promise To visit more often these woods. Thank you Asmi Joshi
